|Adorable! -Such a cutie <3|
I saw my first Sand Martin of the year two days ago! That means winter is over (yay)! The weather is still quite cold here, but I can feel migration (and I can feel the work it means too). For me, the first sighting of Sand martin, Black kite and Northern wheatear mark the beginning of spring. During the last weeks, songies haven't stopped singing, gulls have started to change their plumage, and Crested larks have been looking for a partner. I love this time of the year, when no one feels the spring apart from birds and birders. I've spent some weeks without even patch birding, due to the exams, birthdays and various other stuff, and that can be really stressful, so I managed to get out yesterday's evening. I chaught up with the last Meadow pipits and Dunnocks...and the first migrant raptors! Here's some of my photos.
