Aquarelle studies

Bones! Després d'una prou llarga absència, a veure si aquestes aquarel·les ajuden a tornar a arrencar el blog. No només són ocells, ja que la idea era fer diferents textures (plomes, pell...) i colors com el gris i el blanc, que són més complicats, utilitzant només aquarel·la per al color. Aquests són els resultats de les proves!

Heya! I haven't posted for a while, so I'm hoping these sketches will help to make the blog active again. It's not only birds, as the idea was to try different textures (like feathers, skin...) and some tricky colours like white and grey using only watercolours. These are the results!

2016 is coming

Aquest 2015 he viscut milers d'experiències noves, moltes de les quals van relacionades amb el birding. I és que com més lluny ho portes, més ganes tens de més.

Aquests últims mesos he estat ocupadíssima redactant un article pel programa Joves i Ciència, però això no ha volgut dir que hagi deixat de banda els ocells. Han començat els anellaments d'hivern, i una bona suma de sortides als Aiguamolls i al Llobregat, a més de a altres punts perduts del mapa, m'han permès afegir a la meva llista espècies que els meus ulls no havien vist mai. Diria que un resum de l'última fotografia, anellament i observació és la millor combinació per tancar aquest any. Aquí us deixo unes quantes de les últimes fotos, que esbossen les meves darreres aventures ornitològiques.

Per aquest 2016 que estrenem i que he començat amb molt bon peu, espero noves sortides amb gent genial, nous indrets on viure aquesta passió i molts, moltíssims ocells. Avui comença de nou el repte d'ampliar la life list i, com sempre, de superar l'any anterior amb una treballada llista de l'any. Les especulacions sobre quines rareses cauran començen ja!

I lived thousands of new experiences this year, many of which were related to birding. I guess that the further you take birding, the more you need.

I've been in a rush writing an article for the program Joves i Ciència these last months, but I haven't forgotten birds at any moment. Winter ringings have started and a good amount of birding days in the PNAE and the Llobregat (in addition to other points lost map) have allowed me to tick some species my eyes had never seen. I think that a summary of some ringing, photography and, mostly, birding is the best combination to end this year. Here you have some of the latest photos!

For 2016, which has started in a fantastic way for me, I hope to meet more amazing birders, to visit new places and to see many, many birds. A new challenge begins today: to extend even more my life list, and, as always, making a good year list. Speculation on what rarities we will get this year start now!
